Happy 2013 everyone! The new wedding season is upon us.
This year will be the best yet for AJCreative. To start off the wedding season and new year, I had a booth display at the Your Wedding Iowa Bridal Forum held in West Des Moines on January 6. For all of the couples that got engaged over the holiday season, congrats! This was the perfect time to shop for your wedding vendors.
As a new vendor at this year’s show, I found a few new and creative ways to spark interest and creativity through my display. Brides-to-be are searching Pinterest now more than ever for ideas on how to create their dream wedding. What better than to create a larger than life pin board! I snatched up a few vintage crib springs and started creating my new display.
One board features the 2013 Color of the Year: Emerald. I will be spilling more details about emerald green and how you can incorporate it into your wedding this year, but Pantone describes it as ” lively, radiant, lush… a color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony.” I can’t say I’ve even been a great fan of the color green, but this year’s emerald green just may change my mind.
Within the same color family as emerald green, mint green still reigns as a top color for 2013 weddings. Emerald green and mint green can also be beautiful when used together. This board features new invitation suites and save the date designs. Take note that when you’re flipping through the Your Wedding Iowa book, page 58 includes a beautiful shot of the new mint and gray invitation suite!
A second board features a brand new invitation suite that is perfect for a destination wedding or a couple that isn’t afraid of bold colors! Bright blues and turquoise create the ‘Painted Sky’ invitation suite. New photo save the date cards with patterned backers are shown on this board as well.
Additional custom designs by AJCreative were featured on the table. My grandparents old leather suitcase was a perfect addition to my display. Wedding invitations, save the dates, wedding programs, menu cards, RSVP cards, party invitations, printed envelopes, birth announcements and holiday cards were all shown.
If you missed this show, don’t worry! You still have time to enter in the custom save the date card giveaway! Stop over to the AJCreative facebook page, like us and enter your info on the tab ‘Enter to Win.’ The winner will be chosen shortly, so don’t wait.
As I wrap up this recap of the show, I wanted to highlight a few images of gorgeous table displays, flowers and event design from some of the wonderful vendors in the Des Moines area. Divine Flowers by Saley, 5th Photography and Steward Alexander | One Source Event Productions were set up for the show and I took a sneak peek before the doors opened. Check out these gorgeous color schemes and designs for the upcoming bridal season. Amazing work by both vendors!
