The year of Tangerine Tango has ended and a new season of color is upon us!
Pantone, the leaders in anything and everything color, announced the 2013 Color of the Year just a few weeks ago. For those that predicted mint green would lead the trends for the year, you weren’t too far off. The 2013 Color of the Year is EMERALD GREEN. Wow, that color packs a punch.
Leatrice Eisman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute explains. “The most abundant hue in nature, the human eye sees more green than any other color in the spectrum. As it has throughout history, multifaceted Emerald continues to sparkle and fascinate. Symbolically, Emerald brings a sense of clarity, renewal and rejuvenation, which is so important in today’s complex world. This powerful and universally-appealing tone translates easily to both fashion and home interiors.”
If you are wondering how you can incorporate this bright green in your 2013 wedding, don’t fret, I have a few ideas up my sleeve. Whether you’re ready to dive in and create a wonderland of emerald green or want to just spice up your color palette with a few green details, it’s easier than you think. Pinterest can be a great resource for inspiration and ideas but it’s easy to get overwhelmed by all those images.
Last week I introduced my own inspiration boards at the Bridal Forum in West Des Moines.
Check out the AJCreative inspiration board details on this year’s hot color!
